Hello it's been a long time, but I'm back!

Our little twins are not so little anymore and have started at nursery in the mornings so I'm beginning to get some time. My kids and I have a list of a few projects to work through, but then I'm open to orders...

Today we had a fairly painless drop off and I managed to put together a new pattern and make a trial pair of boxers from scrap fabric.

Just a quick note to say I haven't forgotten about you all. I even got to my sewing machine these past weeks in order to make these two Numberblocks t-shirts for my littlest guys ahead of their rapidly approaching birthday. They have served to illustrate that my time is not my own and I can't open to orders again yet not knowing how long it would take to get them made. The problem with twins is I don't get that nap time to catch up with things because they often don't nap at the same time and as they're at the cruising into everything stage leaving them to their own devices doesn't give me long.

Today the sewing machine remains in hibernation, but I've been back at my sewing desk today. I've been parcelling up the bits I have made up to be sold to raise money for team super Seraph.

Seraph is four year old with High Risk Neuroblastoma; an aggressive form of paediatric cancer, with only a 40% chance of surviving the next 5 years. Seraph’s current treatment will end in June 2019, however about half of the children who make it through relapse. Therefore we are fundraising for future treatment. Current possibilities cost in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, and are (just now) only offered abroad.

The time has come for me to say I'm closing my order books to new orders. I have a couple of things on going and hope to fit in some baby clothes making before our new men grace us with their presence. The question still remains just what size do I make for our little twins and how to I convince a six years old excited big brother to be that coordinating but not matching might be best for identical twins.

Excuse my silence, I was sure I'd posted the finished shirt last week, I blame sick children and baby brain all rolled into one.

This was made for a friend and I'm pleased to be able to say was very happily received by the young man in question.

... and I'm back at my sewing machines!

Though I also have to break it to you that, I'm going to be closing up for maternity leave at the start of October. We're expecting twins before the year is out. I had hoped that I'd be able to keep going a bit longer; but the extra weight and energy draining ability of two is starting to make sitting at machines for any length of time uncomfortable and means staying up once my boys are asleep to work is getting harder.

The good news is that hopefully I will be able to try out new baby clothes patterns during my absence.
