We want to divert your pre-loved clothes, bags, jewellery and shoes from going to landfill. Yay for recycling and up-cycling! We are a not-for-profit co-operative, all profits raised will be used to support the Glad Foundation music workshops for our local community, no matter background or ability. Sorry pals. Totally forgot to do our daily ”faves from the floor” today cause couldn’t choose cause we have just too many ace things in at the moment so I decided to just put all my faves in the window. So new window alert!
As always, if you see anything in our window you’d like to get your hands on, just send us a DM and we can put it aside for you until you have time to pop by.

And did you spot the poster for our new Mending Meet? Every first Wednesday of the month. Bring your broken clothes and come mend them together with other cool people. Free and fun! 6:30-8:30pm.

Hello Thrifters and Happy/Merry everything!
Hope you all had a fabulous festive season and had time to hang out with all your favourite people.
We have all had a rest and are back TOMORROW (wednesday the 8th of Jan) in the shop with all the usual funsies and bargains.
Normal opening times this January, 12-5pm from Wed-Sun with late night shopping every Thursday, so open until 7pm.

Hello Thrifters!
We’re in August already! How did that happened?
Here in the shop we’re still manifesting summer 100% and have added loads of swimwear to the floor and cause we all love a bargain, they’re all £1 each.

Floor is packed with summery things in general, and as always we’re keeping our price point low, so pop in for a browse.

We got a few messages about donations of late, so let me update you all of how we run things now.
Donations are welcome every day we’re open and we’re always happy to rehome your loved gems.
At the moment we are low on:
- Gents clothing and shoes
- ties
- Ladies knitwear
- bags & rucksacks in all sizes
- jewellery! We do take broken jewellery and odd earrings and remake them into new things
- cd’s, dvd’s, vinyl record and books

We do NOT take:
Children’s clothes, toys, brick a brack nor furniture (if we only had a bigger shop) but are very happy to advice you of where to donate these items if you don’t know where to go.

Open all weekend long and hope to see your lovely faces soon!

Hello Thrifters and welcome to another week of Glad!

Today I’m working through the mountain of new donations from last week, and I just need to make a shoutout to the lovely person who donated these bags of awesome gents wear (like that wasn’t enough) They have also left a wee note in EVERY bag describing every item, if there is anything needed fixed or looked at and when/how they washed it. A+++++ for this lovely gesture! We appreciate it so very much and it makes our lives so much easier.
And love how much you cared about your clothes. ❤️

If you’re having a clear out, here is a reminder of what kind of donations we take and what we’re low on.

- Any adult clothing. Low on gents jackets, knitwear and jeans/trousers.
- Jewellery (even broken or odd earrings, we fix them) Very low on bling at the moment
- shoes
-handbags & rucksacks. Very low on both
- hats (big fancy ones to beanies)
- wedding dresses and other occasion wear
- belts (always low on belts)
- scarfs, gloves and warm stuff
- CD’s, DVD’s vinyl records and even cassettes Very low on vinyls
- books
- Christmas jumpers (all year loooooong, bring them in)
- sewing patterns and haberdashery

Cause this is a great day to stay indoors and clear out your wardrobe, so here is your insensitive. 😂
And you get a stamp on your loyalty card for every 10 items you donate.

Happy weekend Thrifters!

January is a skint month, but everyone deserves good clothing.

So we have added a couple of bargain suitcases to the floor. Filled with some ace stuff!
All genders and sizes in there, so you will have to dive in for a good rummage, but oh it will be worth it.
And EVERYTHING in there is just £2…. Yup, you heard me correctly…

And we will refill these suitcases every morning

Open 12-5pm Sat and Sun so swing by for a browse and a boogie!

One day to goooooooo!!!

Tomorrow, the 12th, is D-Day!
DISCO DAY!! 🪩

Am I excited? Well, HELL YEAH!! I’ve not been able to throw a Gladiator Rags Disco since before the pandemic… so had to go back and have a look at the pics from it to remind myself of the joy a boogie brings.

And just look at all the joy!!
The theme was “The high school prom you never had” and everyone really embraced the theme and it was such a hoot!

This years theme is “Come as the awesome self as you are”
If you wanna dress up in sequin, do it!
If you wanna come in your pj’s, do it!
Come for a song and Shake It Off!
Come when doors open and dance All Night Long!
Come along and Dance With Somebody or just be Dancing On My Own
