Deep in the Scottish Borders..

Realising the importance of integrity in the tartan industry, Ingles Buchan has always had it's cloth woven at the Anthony Haines textile mill (Selkirk Weaving Company).

The opportunity to buy the mill arose for Ingles Buchan textiles when Anthony Haines retired. To keep the thread of this incredible textile history together, Ingles Buchan owners, the Brown family, bought the mill in Selkirk and now continue to exclusively weave their 500+ tartans here to this day.

Conference Ambassador Tartan launched.

Glasgow was the first city in the UK to recognise the importance of academic meetings to the city's global reputation by launching the first Conference Ambassador Programmme in 1990.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary, the Glasgow Convention Bureau has designed the Glasgow Conference Ambassador Tartan.

Earlier this month academic Conference Ambassadors were presented with plaques featuring Glasgow Convention Bureau's new Ambassadors' Tartan to mark 30 years of conferences in the city.

The design incorporates the brand colours of the city's prestigious academic institutions.

We stopped off for a tour of Eilean Donan Castle on a recent trip to the Isle of Skye, and found this Highlander Teddy who looked at home in a local souvenir shop.
