Glasgow-based artist Huck Sanderson, a graduate of The Glasgow School of Art, presents Broken Colour, an exhibition of spontaneous, expressive works shaped by colour, composition, balance and instinct.

The exhibition is primarily influenced by Sanderson’s blind dog, Piggy, and the way he “sees” the world. It also reflects Sanderson’s physical approach to painting, where canvas or paper is pinned to the studio wall and images are allowed to emerge freely through the process of applying paint.

The accompanying soundscape, created in collaboration with Glasgow-based sonic and performance artist Honey Beatrice Welch, draws on the sounds that guide Piggy on his daily walks, the joyful rhythm of a stick against fences, railings, benches and bridges.

Sincere, spontaneous and intentionally unpredictable, Broken Colour invites viewers into a world of colour, sound and feeling.
