Made from the clothes of a much loved Dad, Grandad using a cute 'Tilda' pattern.

My customer requested smaller bears and a dog rather than my signature bear.
They are too small to have embroidery stitched on to them so I made little luggage tags to attach to each one.

Very fiddly to make as the tiny pieces are difficult to turn inside out (with my arthritic thumbs😏)

Each one is different so I hope each recipient was happy with the one they received 🤗

After having lost my two beloved rescue dogs (Sanchia and Hannah) in January and June of 2013, I have finally just plucked up courage (13 years later) to bring their beds down from my loft and attempt to make 2 dogs in their memory 💕

As any pet lover will know, the grieving process can be a very long journey, and I've been honoured over the years to have been commissioned to create memories for other people whose pets have passed away 🌈

A lovely couple came to me with 3 of their beloved Meg's blankets.
Sadly their elderly Jack Russell had passed away recently.

I was able to use both sides of 2 of the blankets to add texture and shading, and also include some special buttons and the decorative poppy that Meg used to wear.
I also gave the bear a dog safety nose rather than my usual teddy one.

My customers were delighted when they came to collect their keepsake and I was really touched when they messaged me later to say that it felt as if they were bringing Meg back home again 😔

Here we have 3 memory bears made from my customer's Mum's clothes.
A nice little touch was that although Dad had passed away a while ago, one of his shirts had been saved which I was asked to incorporate into each bear.

As the wording illustrates, each bear has been personalised for the recipient and I hope they will bring a smile and lasting memories 😊

Grace's Mummy had saved some special outfits to remind her of when her little girl was very young.

She brought them for me to transform into a keepsake bear, and here is the result - a sweet little bear which can always be on display .

A much better idea than storing those outgrown clothes that you can't 'bear' to part with in the loft 😅

Made using a lady's clothes and a little dog's red coat 😔

I hope the new year is going well for you, despite this cold and snowy weather.

My order book is open and I am happy to be spending many hours keeping busy making keepsakes in my sewing room.

Here is a bear that I can now share. It was being gifted to my customer's Mum on Christmas Day in memory of her beloved Husband who sadly passed away last Christmas 💙

Some more cushions that were quite challenging as they were created from a lady's sparkly sequinned tops.
A few broken sewing machine needles, but I succeeded and more importantly my customer was very happy 😊

Not everyone wants memory bears, but these 2 double-sided cushions were just perfect for snuggling up with, and remembering their loved one.
Made from one jumper and one pair of trousers 🤗
