For Baileys Christmas, I replaced his 10 year old backpack after it gave way, however, you all know me and know I wasn’t gonna let that old one go to waste!

I created this cross body bag using all of the old backpack components, aswell as some waterproof tent fabric that salvaged for me!

Last of the summer dresses!

I will never not be over this one so let’s just appreciate it one more time!

This dress I made up as I went after sketching it on a post-it whilst studying, so I never actually formed a full pattern for, but if you are curious, let me know and I’ll share my steps!

This weeks sewing vibe is the icons that are the Stratford sisters in 10 things I hate about you!!

The 10 things I hate about you is hands down my favourite movie, and the costumes are truly truly iconic so I thought I’d have a go at making a dress suitable for the 90s cool girls.

As many of you know, for the last year I’ve been doing my masters in International Fashion marketing from and on Friday I got the incredible news that I received a distinction and I’m rlly happy about it!

For those of you wondering, I’m finally taking some slowed down time to figure things out, and whilst doing that I’ll be working with some really cool people as well as doing some fun things including making a bat costume for new baby so there’s lot happening.

Let’s talk about Denim. Denim is a huge environmental pollutant, with one pair of jeans requiring up to eight gallons (36 litres) of water to produce, additionally the die used to colour jeans polluting local waterways surrounding factories.

With demon cuts and styles ever changing, a large amount of demon ends up in landfills, further pollution the earth, so finding creative ways to repurpose denim is of the utmost importance.

This week, I will be showing you a pattern and the process of making some denim patchwork aprons for using old, repurposed jeans!

Also, lets take a minute to appreciate denim though the golden ages of low waisted, bootcut and ball gowns.
