Friday morning sewing class!

Thank you to everyone who came!

I have alterations stacking up and as I finished the big playmat last week, I thought I would do something simpler this week before I begin making anything else from scratch.

So here are some of the alterations I’ve been doing this morning. Atleast I’ve been productive 😂 I’ve also got a couple of other jobs done that I’ve been meaning to do all week (re sewing buttons back on etc)

Sewing classes run every Friday morning from lower Holker village hall.
10-12pm £15 per session

Friday morning sewing class ☀️

Thank you to everyone who came.

Here’s this mornings make! FINALLY finished!
This has definitely been a labour of love. I won’t even tell you when I started making it (Oliver wasn’t anywhere near around 😂) so it’s been adapted to be slightly more boyish since.
It’s full of textures, colours, different fabrics, different pictures and basically a snap shot of the inside of my brain!

I think it’s a hit!
This morning I backed it with a thin corduroy that I bought from vinted.

Sewing classes will be on next week as normal, even though it’s half term.

Classes run each Friday morning from lower Holker village hall

Here’s a quick alteration I did this morning. It doesn’t look much but I took the side seams in by 1.5” on each side for a more fitted look.

Today I had a child free day! I accidentally forgot to cancel a holiday from work so it meant I had a day off whilst the kids were at the child minders. Meaning I had a whole 8.5 hours to get caught up on laundry after Wales, get the house cleaned (as much as possible with a baby and a toddler) and get through as many alterations as humanly possible!

I worked on 8. 😍 Today is a record. It’s a weight off knowing I’ve got a few ticked off the list. The reason I could do so many is because some were really simple! (Thank you!) 🫶🏻

Juggling mum life with working from home feels impossible at times. So today was much needed!!! 🤩

I am off to Wales (ive never been but I’m very excited!) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

All alterations are in hand, please try to avoid contacting me where possible. I’m back Tuesday and will answer any emails then.
But apart from that, all is good. It’s been a very busy few weeks juggling alterations, work and family life (and Mum guilt 🥲) and I’m looking forward to some much needed family time!

Friday morning sewing class! Thank you to everyone who came.

It’s not quite finished.. but here is the play mat I’ve been working on!!
It just needs to be backed and the edges bound but I’m very pleased with it. It’s definitely been a labour of love (so they better appreciate it 🤣🤣)
I’ll keep you posted when it’s finally finished!

There is NO sewing class next week as I’m on my first trip EVER to Wales!
But I’ll be back on the 22nd as normal!
