Sorry for the language but I fu***ng hate this time of year. My dog is panting crazily and won’t leave my son’s side. I can’t imagine how many veterans are out there cowering on the kitchen floor, reliving the hell that we paid them to live through, the number of elderly living the same nightmare and the wildlife who can’t get away from the incessant noise. Diwali is the festival of light not noise and you can buy silent fireworks so why do these peoplekeep insisting on wasting their hard earned cash. Give it to those ptsd sufferers or the elderly who are wondering what all the noise is about (they probably have never heard of Diwali before)
If you know anyone who is adding to this noise please show them this post and try to instill in them the hurt and fear they are causing. The festival is important to them, I know that but so are the rest of us including our pets. Our poor dog is trembling in the corner, he’ll probably mess himself before the noise is over which he knows is wrong and hates himself for doing it but he’s literally scared sh*tless as are pets and wildlife up and down the country and it isn’t necessary because most supermarkets sell silent fireworks nowadays so what is the reason for not buying them? Please consider others when celebrating your religious festivals, enjoy yourselves by all means but not at the cost of others please.
