JUNK MODELLING ~ crafting with recycled materials:

The twins had a school project where they had to make a castle, so of course I raided our recycling to see what I could find ♻️
This was made using recycled cardboard and paper. I didn't go out and buy anything - everything we used, we found lying around in the house. Of course, being a creative family, we already had craft glue and a range of paints available. But other than that, the rest was made entirely out of old cardboard / empty packaging that I would've otherwise put in our recycling bin.

♻️ paper mache used to make the mound that the castle sat on top of
♻️ old cardboard to make the castle tower 🏰
♻️ white tissue paper used to make the water and painted shades of blue; pva glue applied to give the effect of the water rippling / reflecting light💧 🎨🖌
♻️ brown craft paper to create the fence
♻️ card packaging used to make the villagers hut 🏠
