This design is inspired by Paul Klee's 1938 work Reicher Hafen, Bild einer Reise (Rich Port, Picture of a Journey), created during one of the most turbulent periods of the artist's life.
Just five years earlier, Klee had been dismissed from his teaching post by the N**i regime and forced to leave Germany for Switzerland. At the same time, he was battling the onset of a serious autoimmune illness. Yet some of his most powerful and distinctive works emerged during these final years.
Gone were the intricate geometries of his earlier paintings. In their place came bold black lines, symbolic forms and simplified shapes that feel remarkably modern even today.
Nearly a century later, Klee's visual language remains as striking as ever, transformed here into a wearable work of art.
