One thing we’ve noticed massively changing in workwear over the last few years…

People no longer want one standard uniform for everything.

And we completely understand why.
Job roles can often be varied, one day you’re in the warehouse, others you’re meeting clients, then you’re in the office or working from home.

Some days you just want the comfort of a hoodie because it’s Monday morning and you need all the help you can get 🤣
Workwear has become far more personal and we think that’s a really positive thing.

When people feel comfortable, confident and properly represented in what they’re wearing, it's actually proven to change how they feel and show up at work.

For years, so many businesses have treated uniforms as, “Everyone gets the same polo shirt.” Men and women, all shapes, all sizes and all departments.

But... people , job roles, body shapes, personalities are all so different.

Your sales team probably shouldn’t wear the exact same thing as your warehouse team. The same as your team shouldn’t dread putting their uniform on every morning.

Good workwear should represent your business properly, fit well, last longer, feel comfortable and make people feel proud to wear it.

That’s why at Thread A Pixel we always try to build workwear solutions around the people actually wearing them, not just what’s cheapest or easiest to order.

Good workwear changes how people feel at work, fact!

One thing we’ve always believed at Thread A Pixel is that workwear should work for the people wearing it, not just the business ordering it.

For years, a lot of companies approached uniforms thinking, “Everyone wears the same thing." But workplaces have changed massively.

Some people are customer-facing, others are out on-site, some are in warehouses, others are in meetings all day. Some need warmth, some need shirts, we all have some of those in the team 😜 Others need some need flexibility, some want a smarter fit, others want comfort, we could go on all day! 😅

We’ve seen such a big shift in recent years towards businesses giving their teams more choice and we love being able to help with those options.

A hoodie one day, a smarter shirt the next, a fleece for colder mornings and different fits for different body shapes.

When people feel comfortable and confident in what they’re wearing, it is proven to affect their confidence, their comfort, their morale and even how they represent the business.

That’s why we never wanted Thread A Pixel to just be another standard workwear provider, saying, “here's our a polo shirt offer, thats it.”

We wanted to help businesses offer their teams workwear that people genuinely feel good in.

Workwear has a much bigger impact on staff morale than many people realise.

It’s often the little things that make the biggest difference.

A warm coat when somebody’s working outside in winter, a hoodie that actually fits properly, work trousers people can move comfortably in, different options depending on the role they do.
It sounds simple… but people notice when a business genuinely thinks about their teams comfort.

We had a conversation recently with Andrew Hulbert about engineers working on rooftops in the rain. He highlighted that if someone’s cold, uncomfortable and wearing poor-quality workwear, they’re naturally going to dread doing that job.

When people feel properly equipped, comfortable and looked after… its proven to change how they feel about work.

Too many businesses still see uniforms as, “Just stick everyone in the same thing.” But good workwear should support the individual person wearing it and their job role.

Different teams need different solutions. Warehouse teams don’t work the same way as sales teams, customer-facing staff need different options to on-site engineers.
When businesses get that right, it doesn’t just improve appearance, it improves confidence, comfort and culture too.

That’s why at Thread A Pixel we’ve always tried to focus on the people behind the uniform, not just the easiest option for us to stock.

Andrew Hulbert made a brilliant point about uniforms on our podcast.

He founded and ran Pareto, a facilities management company with around 500 staff, absolutely knows what he’s talking about when it comes to choosing the right workwear for teams.

He made a really interesting point about uniforms when he came on our podcast Built Not Born in Business.

He spoke about when he was younger and wearing trousers that were so tight he was worried they were going to split every time he bent down, sounds funny, but it actually highlights a massive issue we still see today with workwear.

Too many businesses still think everyone can wear the same thing, but people aren’t built the same.

Different job roles need different garments and different people feel comfortable in different fits.

If somebody feels uncomfortable, self-conscious or restricted in what they’re wearing all day at work, it affects them, and not in a good way.

Andrew also spoke about how some of the best feedback he got from staff at Pareto came from simply giving them the right clothing and equipment to do their jobs comfortably.

That’s something we’ve always believed at Thread A Pixel too.
Good workwear should make your team feel comfortable, confident and proud to represent the business… not desperate to take it off the second they get home 🤣

A branded gilet is one of those pieces that just works, practical, comfortable, and smart enough for everyday wear. It’s the kind of item your team will actually reach for, which means your branding is being seen consistently without it feeling forced.

From an educational point of view, layering is a big part of good workwear strategy. A gilet allows flexibility ..it keeps the core warm while leaving arms free, making it ideal for busy, hands-on roles. When you combine that with clean, high-contrast embroidery like this, you’ve got something that looks professional but also performs in real working environments.

Another key thing here is placement and consistency. Keeping the logo in the same position across garments helps build recognition over time. It’s subtle, but it makes a big difference in how your brand is perceived.

If you’re thinking about upgrading your team’s workwear or want to make sure it actually works for your business, feel free to drop us a message, always happy to help you get it right 👍

This is a great example of how effective workwear comes down to the small decisions. It’s not just about putting a logo on a garment, it’s about making sure it’s applied in a way that actually works.

The use of colour here is key. Strong contrast against darker fabrics keeps everything clear and easy to read, even from a distance. That visibility matters more than people realise.

There’s also a real benefit in keeping everything consistent across different pieces. Matching polos, fleeces and outerwear means your team always looks put together, no matter the environment.

That kind of consistency helps build recognition over time. And when people start to recognise your brand, it naturally builds trust.

Workwear like this isn’t just part of the uniform, its part of your brand.

Really love how these have come out 👌

There’s something about clean, well-thought-out branding on workwear that just elevates everything. It’s not loud or over the top, just simple, sharp and done properly.

These polos for are a great example of that. Clear logo placement, strong contrast and garments that are practical for everyday wear.

A lot of people overlook how important workwear is when it comes to branding. But it’s often one of the first things people notice. When your team looks consistent and professional, it instantly builds trust before a word is even spoken.

It’s also one of the easiest ways to keep your brand visible. Whether your team are out on-site, meeting clients, or just moving around day to day, your workwear is constantly representing your business.

And the best part... It’s working for you all day, every day without you even thinking about it.

Always nice seeing a project come together like this 🙌
