This pair of shoes came into me with what is quite a common issue. The original soles had completely perished.
So they were removed. A new pair were cut and shaped from a sheet of material.
The cork was replaced and new soles fitted.
The shoes are now ready for many more comfortable miles.

This job is a common issue. The loop used to pull the boot on had snapped off. So I found a colour match for the leather and set about replacing it. Using a nylon backing which prevents stretching and makes the loop much stronger.

Another rescue job. A favourite pair of boots. The original soles had deteriorated and crumbled. The heels had worn into the blocks.
All old materials were removed and replacements fitted to give the boots a new lease of life.

A little test of my skills here. A pair of shoes fallen victim to the jaws of the family dog.
As you can see from the photos there was quite a lot to do to bring them back to life.

This pair of boots came in being slightly down at heel. The blocks were rebuilt, re covered with leather and new hard wearing heels fitted.
All ready for many more comfortable miles
