Impromptu after school trip! We were virtually alone at RHSHarlow Carr today and it was amazing. 4 seasons in a day, beautiful surroundings plus poetry and art all around.
😍 plus, the Travel Bear meant we managed to avoid a on the was home!!

Happy International Daughter Day!

We found out we were having girls only 12 weeks into both of my pregnancies. I always knew I would have girls and we was over the moon both times. Growing up as one of two girls my father told us regularly that we could do anything a boy did, apart from p*e standing up!! (He has quite a way with words…🙈😂)
These girls are my greatest challenge and my greatest achievement… so,

Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.

Mornings are for play in this house. We wait as long as humanly possible to put the tele on. Ideally…not at all. Some days it’s impossible, bad nights and moaning toddlers results in Bluey on repeat (I swear I could act out every one of those episodes 😂). But this morning it’s been lovely, radio 6 on, kids playing nicely… I’ll forgive her the 5.30 start 😬🙈

Trips with kids can often seem like they’re more trouble than they’re worth… the early starts, the inevitable forgotten items, the endless ‘are we there yet?’.
But it’s always worth the effort. Seeing their faces when they see something new or watching them bound towards a loved one you haven’t seen for months, it’s amazing 😍
However, what I have learned from nearly 6 years of parenting is that it’s about STRATEGY. One of my many strategies (and the one that solves all ills) is Cocomelon 😂 and that is why our Travel Bear holder is always in the car!

Little demo for a Thursday morning…

If your kids are watching a phone or mini tablet in the car… this is for you!
The device slides in the holder in seconds and is kept away from sticky, meddling fingers!!
Also it keeps heads up… constantly looking down at a tablet is ALL kinds of bad for the neck. Particularly in a moving vehicle!

After some absolute SCENES at after school ballet last week (Flo wanted to go into her older sisters class, she couldn’t.. cue an almighty tantrum outside the studio) I came prepared this week 🙌🏼 apples, iPad and a bit more patience 😂🙈
In my defence I had had to virtually rugby tackle her in Pets at Home a couple of hours earlier when she refused to leave the fish…
