Today’s project was all about ramie — a beautiful natural fiber known for its breathability, subtle sheen, and crisp texture. 🌿

I worked on a dress made from pure ramie, carefully tailoring it to fit just right. Ramie is similar to linen but a bit sturdier, which makes it both a joy and a challenge to work with — precision is key!

Threading each stitch by hand ✨
For me, it’s more than work — it’s meditation. Especially when hemming delicate silk, every movement requires focus, patience, and respect for the fabric.

While many opt for a blind stitch machine for speed, these machines often leave uneven tension, visible puckering, and can easily damage fine silk. The subtle hand-finish I create ensures an invisible, smooth hem that preserves the fluid drape and luxurious feel of the garment.

I just had the absolute sweetest project come my way!

I had the pleasure of creating a custom christening dress for a beautiful 6-month-old baby – isn’t it just the cutest thing ever? 👶💖

The mum loved it so much that she’s now asked me to make a matching dress for herself! It’s such a joy to be a part of these special moments.

Can’t wait to share more soon – in the meantime, I’m off to order more fabric!
