I am a textile artist specialising in embroidery as well as teaching eco printing.

I often use eco printed fabric or paper as a background for my pieces; each print is a unique piece of art created ecologically from nature. The eco printing process involves direct contact of the plant material to the cloth or paper followed by a lengthy period of steaming or boiling to set the dyes. The bottom of the scarves may have unique lined markings which are where string was tied around

the bundle during steaming to ensure a close contact between the plant material and the cloth or paper.
