• STORMY •

Today is a stormy old day in my part of the country so I think we’ll be hunkering down and maybe watching a couple of films and have a lazy one. Is it just me but the last week seems to have flown by so I’m going to stick our batteries on trickle charge and take it steady.

I know it’s the winter but I’m daydreaming of long summer days with the sun on my bones and the sand between my toes! My team asked for cycle shorts both for kids and mama and generally what they ask for they get (within reason). So say hello to the new kids cycle shorts, I can also make ladies cycle shorts too so if you fancy a bit of twinning with your littles this year just let me know. Available from 6-12 months right up to age 9-10 for the kids. This particular pair, in the awesome Love or Hate design, is about to go onto my Etsy shop age 3-4…you know you’re daydreaming too 😘

Happy Bank Holiday! I finally know it’s a Monday but it does feel a bit strange knowing that schools reopen this week.

So I thought I’d show you a little photo of us. I’m not just a name behind a teeny photo on Instagram or Facebook I’m Sally, mother of my two gorgeous children (my girl is studying at Uni in Leeds so isn’t in this photo), my hubby is a teacher and there’s our awesome chocolate lab too! That’s us plain and simply, living our best life in South Devon. Well it’s “taking the Christmas decs down day” in this house, I love Christmas. I really do but I start getting twitchy with the amount of tat we have at Christmas time. I’m definitely a ‘everything has a place type of gal’ and right now the place for our Christmas decs is in the loft! Blimey I sound like a Scrouge, I’m not really.

• SHOP COLOURFULLY •

It’s oh yes it flipping well is! There’s zero black over here today, don’t get me wrong I’m a massive fan of black, just not today, it’s all about the colour and celebrating small businesses! Let’s shout about them, let’s support them, let’s buy something from them…but please don’t expect ridiculous discounts, well not from me anyway, it’s just not my bag. I don’t buy in bulk, I don’t produce in bulk…I make and sell in small quantities, some of them may be total one-off’s, but EVERYTHING is made with love, care and pride. Oh and can we take a moment to appreciate these knee length socks because I, for one, think they are flipping awesome! Happy colourful Friday folks 😘

• JUST A CARD •

are massive advocates for Shopping Independent, they are all the things I believe shopping indie to be. You may not know how vital small businesses are to the economy but we really are, you just don’t hear about it in quite the same way as you do in regards to High Street spending. In 2022 more small businesses will close but if everyone bought just a card, just a gift, just a book, just an outfit this Christmas from an independent £2.7 billion would be reallocated to small businesses…now try and tell me that small businesses don’t matter. If I have to close it would mean that I don’t get to clothe beauties like this one and that makes my heart very sad.
