EDIT: as a result of this article we’ve had a number of enquiries, so to expand on what we do is we make wonderful garments for special occasions and for people who struggle with fit/size/fabric choice/style when buying off-the-peg clothing.

We do not carry out alterations to ready-to-wear garments, nor do we offer a measurement service for clothes to then be made by other tailors or retailers.

Popped into Jeffery West this lunchtime to sort myself out with a new pair of boots (I’m a huge fan). Got served by Guy West himself who arranged to have them sent to my house. Great service and I got a complimentary pair of socks, too.

Looking at the temperatures forecast for the next few weeks our heart goes out to all the bridegrooms who insisted on the ‘Peaky Blinders’ look, against the advice of their tailor. Trust us, getting married in plus 30 degree heat in a 3-piece heavy tweed suit, plus cap, is going to be one of the most memorable days of your life - for all the wrong reasons.

The order book for garments in time for Christmas is now closed but we are still taking commissions for the new year. And gentlemen, if you’re getting married next year congratulations - now get your wedding suit appointment booked, not 3 weeks before the event.
