May is a wonderful time of year for a botanical printer like myself, fresh leaves unfurl and flowers bloom giving plenty of material for us to create. I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by greenery and the dye flower seeds I planted earlier in the year are doing well. The Cosmos look strong and the Marigolds are flowering and I’ve already started to dry some to store away for winter dyeing. So I’m busy printing this week to add to my stock, lots of dungarees of course! You can find me on Saturday which is a great event with plenty to amuse young and old! Hope to see you there. πŸƒ.

Job done βœ”οΈ I am off to my Mums tomorrow for a couple of days so taking a few small of those small jobs with me. πŸ‚.

Sometimes customers say my eco printed clothes are not bright enough for them, I teamed these leaf printed trousers with this coral top tonight to go out to dinner in to give a bright and summery look. So lovely to go out with a friend and the food was delicious. Off to bed now, will have some new pieces to share with you tomorrow. Good night πŸŒ™.

In between pottering around the house and garden today I found a moment to print on a roll of photo paper. These are the results, not perfect but I learnt a little something and thats a good thing, plus I’m excited to try again! Enjoy your weekend, it’s a bank holiday here in the UK and it looks like a hot one! β˜€οΈ

Organising my festival wardrobe and pride of place at the front are my new handmade trousers! Made from an old tablecloth with an ivy leaf design on it and then dyed with red onion skins and modified with iron to give a khaki green. They dyed a little uneven and I had a couple of hiccups when sewing. But that’s ok as none of us are perfect! πŸ˜‰ πŸƒ
