First time joining in the Stephen West MKAL . Thoroughly enjoying the joy and exuberance of the companionship of so many knitters.
So many beautiful colour combinations and the knitting envy has kicked in big time!
Photos don’t do it justice but just ‘saying yes, don’t stress’.
I was encouraged by to share mine after loving hers. Thank you for the prod I needed.

Just the weather for a lightweight swing jacket in British tweeds, this one is a Scottish wool woven by .
It easily goes over everything for that gentle extra layer of protection from the morning and evening chill.
So many British made wools to choose from in gorgeous colours, for a spot of autumn brightness or a neutral to blend with every colour palette.
Add a Bakerboy hat to match or in a contrasting colour and all good to go right through to the coldest of weather, but even then a perfect jacket to layer up and keep warm.

I'm in awe! This Dahlia flower is as big as my head and the plant as tall as me!
Six flowers open and more to come. Now that is reaching ones potential!
Always an inspiration and such joy and wonder from my garden.
Blessed to have it and always thankful. My safe haven.

I absolutely love summer but it eventually turns into autumn and one of the joys that keeps me upbeat is the thought of wearing my jackets.
Gorgeous British wool tweed, or my latest creation in crushed velvet, are what helps to keep me happy as we look towards dark nights and chilly temperatures.
Having a bespoke jacket means it is perfectly designed for you so you can wear it autumn after autumn after autumn.

My white Cosmos has finally flowered and I love it! I lost too many plants this year (wet/cold/slugs/snails) so an extra special shining survivor.

Rag(wort) to riches!
The richest of colours and the most sumptuous crushed velvet.
One of my favourite colours and one of my favourite of fabrics to wear as they both suit me exceptionally well.
Are there colours and fabrics that always draw you in and that you can’t resist?

3 reasons I make a toile...
To try out new design ideas.
To perfect proportion, style lines and details such as collar, pocket, sleeve.
To personalise the finer details of fit to a client's unique body size and shape.
The method of bespoke clothing is a wonderful thing and the concentrated effort given to a toile before cutting into fabric is never wasted.
Do have a look at my website (link in bio) to see more information, detail and some of the finished work and contact me if you'd like to work together on an item for your specific requirements.
