INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY. Where would we be without women? Nowhere. That’s where. Life wouldn’t be possible. Today is to celebrate women. The fact we have to excuse ourselves and explain why we need is the foundation for why we do. So many posts today explaining it’s not anti men it’s pro women, which is true but we shouldn’t have to, on St David’s day Wales doesn’t acknowledge and apologise to England. You see? Celebrate women today and always, the rise of hate crimes and misogynistic behavior and views is there, but SO ARE WE. We will not be silenced. Even in the small conversations, challenge the jokes, jibes and quiet misogyny, you could be saving a life later on. We are rising , which is why the energy is there to try and stop us, men who are challenged by IWD are men who need challenging right back, it’s the daily push back, I read that this morning, and it’s so true. PUSH BACK. I love you women. We are stronger together, everything you hear. … girls are just awful to each other (often heard in school environments) isn’t true, if there’s three women, one will be left out,… not true, three is the magic number. Don’t listen to the generations of misogyny that ‘modern’ culture js built on. You are enough as you are, looking how you are, what age you are, and eating the clothes you are and if you don’t have the fight, there will be woman very close by who will fight for you, find her.
