I apologise I know I briefly mentioned this yesterday but today I’ve just been to pick my dinner up and saw this!
I made it to the front page talking about Dad Matters UK
Over the moon with it and it shows just how important it is to talk about mental health and parenting issues, especially Dads. 💙

Good morning everyone, as some of you maybe aware, I recently started working for DadMatters as there Coordinator for Dads. As you know I’m passionate about being a voice for Dads and if everyone could go on the DadMatters Facebook, I’ll be sharing useful information, different groups and just top tips for Dads and parents it would really help spread the word!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here but there’s been some big changes.
BarrettsBuggyClub may take a small step back however, through my buggy club, an amazing opportunity has arose and now I can say I am officially the new Dad Matters Coordinator for Blackburn with Darwen.
So if you see me about and about, I’ll be in family hubs, hospitals, children centres or just in public, come and say hello.

But just want to thank everyone for all the support for my club and the love it got and now I’m proud to give this role my all.

Hi everyone, BarrettsBuggyClub has been a bit quiet recently. I’ve been having a think and I’ve thought about maybe changing the concept a bit.
Although the buggy club has had some success, I think it’s been difficult for people to attend with it being a Sunday.
So I’ve come up with an idea… (this is if I can make it work)

How about buggyclub but rather than a walk, we meet up at some venue (this will have to be looked for) and have a dads club and bring your children along, dads can have a brew and chat and the kids can play with toys, have a dance and sing some songs.
I’m thinking of maybe doing it like a club as where I could run it with some activities, like dancing and songs and it just be a club for dads to do things like that with their kids for an hour in an evening?

How does that sound?
Feedback would be great and if anyone knows any venues that I could possibly use for free or for a small amount would be helpful.

So to recap, potentially changing buggy club from every second Sunday walk round a park to a midweek evening and at a venue rather than a walk?
