A little outfit of the day!
Had an important meeting today so I wanted to wear something to give me a little boost 🙌🏼

I used my 123 style club principles to create it
Go for three colours and three items as a minimum to keep things interesting.

Neutral doesn’t have to mean boring. In fact sometimes they can be WOW!

The right neutral colours can make you look brighter, fresher and more like yourself — because they’re working with your natural colouring, not fighting against it.

That’s what I’m looking for in a personal colour analysis.

Not just colours that are easy to shop for, or that you like, but colours that make sense for you — your features, your contrast, your natural intensity.

Your colour palette should teach you how to recognise hundreds of colours that suit you — not restrict you to the swatches you take home.

That’s exactly why I bought this dress.

The colour isn’t an exact match for any of the colours in my own palette, but I knew it would work because I understand the colour principles behind my best colours. I suit rich, warm, moody colours 🙌🏼

And that’s something I spend a lot of time teaching my clients during a colour analysis.

Because knowing your colours shouldn’t mean walking around the shops trying to find an exact match to a tiny piece of fabric.

I want you to understand why certain colours work for you and what colour characteristics to look out for.

So when a new season arrives, trends change or you spot something you love, you can look beyond your colour swatches and recognise the hundreds of other colours that will work beautifully too.

Your palette is the starting point, not the limit.

One of the things I love about colour analysis is that it can make getting dressed simpler, not more complicated.

One easy outfit formula is to start with your neutrals, then add a fashion colour from your personal colour palette in an accessory. Here I’ve used soft white + natural, then added grapefruit with my necklace.

And if an outfit ever feels like it’s missing something? Try my 3-colour guide. Look at the two colours you’re already wearing and add a third through your jewellery, shoes, bag or another layer.

It’s such a simple way to wear more colour.
Knowing which colours suit you is one thing. Knowing how to actually wear them together is another.

Of course, the clever bit is knowing which versions of those neutrals and fashion colours work best for YOU. That’s where personal colour analysis comes in.

There was a moment on holiday when I nearly didn’t wear this dress.

Not because I didn’t love it…

But because I caught myself thinking, “My tummy looks too big in this”

After hundreds of Colour Analysis and Personal Shopping appointments, I know I’m not the only one who has those thoughts.

So many women tell me they have beautiful clothes hanging in their wardrobe that they’re “saving” for when they lose weight, have somewhere to wear it or feel more confident.

But why wait?

Truth is no one else is thinking like you. This body has carried and breastfed three babies.

It runs a business, a house and keeps three kids alive!

It deserves to wear the dress and yours too! You deserves to wear the clothes you love too 😍.

One of the greatest joys of my job is helping women stop dressing for a future version of themselves and start enjoying their wardrobe just as they are.

Because style isn’t about having the “perfect” body.

It’s about opening your wardrobe and seeing clothes that make you think…

“I can’t wait to wear that.”

Colour analysis isn’t about whether you like a colour or not. It’s about what that colour does to your features and the right colours are unmistakable!

In the greys, notice the extra shadows around my face and how my features lose some clarity. My skin looks more radiant and my eye and hair colour pop in my best colours 🤩

That’s what I’m assessing during a personal colour analysis — not your favourite shades, but the tone and depth that work naturally with your colouring. We are looking to create lovely harmony and when we get it right, colour analysis works! 🙌🏼

You can often see the difference. The harder part is knowing exactly which colours create it for you.
