Really fun project last week doing some custom embroidery on a shirt for a surprise 60th birthday present 🎈

We sneakily got hold of the artists sketchbook, scanned in all of his doodles and then embroidered them on the shirt.

I've just added new dates for the weekly sewing classes starting in September

The Weds evening classes only have 1 space left, Tues evening beginners still has spaces, and booking is now live for Tuesday morning classes!

We have open studios down at the Sculpture Lounge this weekend for Holmfirth Artweek !

If you've been in to see me and wondered what goes on in the rest of the building, or have never been here and want to come and check it out, studios will be open to poke your head in and chat to all the artists and creatives working here.

Preview evening is Friday 6-9pm
Sat & Sun 10am-5pm

A fun little job to start the week!

From the off cut of a prom dress, a matching tie and pocket square. The kids are going all out for prom this year 😊

The tie is all made by hand, traditionally, in the studio by me. Get in touch for special accessories for special occasions

I'm deep in wedding and prom season and have posted off this stunning robe today for a wedding next weekend.

Josh came to me with a photo of a red silk robe from a catwalk show and asked if I could recreate it in this Liberty x William Morris silk for him to wear to his wedding.

What a showstopper!

Final fitting for this custom wedding outfit I'm working on at the moment!

All handmade in the studio we have a corseted satin bodice and a separate 6 layer skirt with ribbon tie.

We still need to hem the skirt, add some appliqué embroidery to the bodice and make detachable tulle sleeves, but it's been really exciting to work from a drawing Alice brought me and make her dream come to life 💕

Another custom outfit left the studio this week, I always miss the brightly coloured ones when they go!

Margaret's daughter is getting married so we made this gorgeous teal outfit for her to wear to the wedding. The dress is based off a favourite from Margaret's existing wardrobe, copied in linen, and then we made a boxy cropped jacket to go over the top in a lovely boiled wool with some little pops of orange detailing.

One of my favourite parts of the job is helping bring people's ideas to life with custom clothing, if you have something you want made get in touch and let's chat ☺️
