Trying to use up my fabric stash and make myself some summery clothes to deal with how hot it's been lately.
SO happy with this top. Loved the pattern as soon as I saw it (M4M Carli) and can wear it with the twist in the front or back. And I think the fabric cost me about £4 in a sale ages ago. Definitely need to put a little stitch in to keep the layers together and stop me flashing everyone though! 🙈

Lost my sewjo a bit recently but starting to get it back today.
The girls have been loving playing with their babies lately so made some little clothes for them. Hat was super quick and easy but dungarees were a bit tricky cuz so tiny. Still pretty happy with them tho 😊

It's that time of year again! Anyone who's followed my page for a while may remember I loved the idea of a quiet book for Daisy's first birthday, never got round to it, started it for her 2nd birthday, then continued trying to finish it for her 3rd birthday...
Well let's see if it's finished in time for her 4th?? 🤞
I'm sure one day in a couple of decades this project will end up getting pulled out and finished for my grandchildren! 😂

I definitely bit off more than I could chew here! 'Oh yeah, I'll make some scrubs, couple of nights sewing will be good' 😳 2 weeks of cutting/sewing every night (sometimes past midnight), learning lots of new skills, swearing at machines, swearing at myself, crying, a very sore back but finally the moment I thought was never coming...they're DONE! 🥳
I'm so proud of myself. They were much more complicated than I thought (and they look), definitely my biggest sewing project yet and overall I'm happy with the finish.
Now, what should I sew next??

I've just been doing a bit every evening - 3 evenings work cutting out 6 pairs of scrubs. Now starting to sew them together and hoping I get them finished to drop off before the weekend 🤞

Make-up bag now complete! Daisy drew a picture of grandma for her birthday so I had a go at some free motion embroidery to put it on to a make-up bag. It's also lined with the fabric I made Daisy's 1st birthday dress from.
The balloon is my favourite part of the drawing! 😍🎈 Happy Birthday Grandma!
