Glenn Brown loves our Chanter tape, this is what he says...

“I have been using this tape for the last 8 years now. It is without a doubt the best I've ever used. For me, the two best components of it are: the width and the stickiness. I love that it's thinner in depth to other kinds of tape, so there is more room between holes, leaving space so as not to overlap (which can sometimes happen, especially on carved band chanters with bigger holes). The tape sticks well to blackwood and plastic and doesn't leave any sticky residue after altering/adjusting several times. I prefer wrapping it around twice on itself, but works just as well with one layer.”

Glenn won the World Pipe Band Championships as Pipe Seargent of the Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band in 2015. His Solo Piping achievements include Canadian Gold Medal for Ceol Mor. Dunvegan Medal for Ceol Mor & Highland Society of London's Gold Medal at The Northern Meeting.

We are just recovering from the World Pipe band Championships at the weekend. Friday was wet for most of the day...thats where our Capes and drum covers came in handy!
Saturday was a drier day, although a few more showers would have been welcome 😜
Here are some of the members of The Johnstone Pipe Band showing off their new Bandspec Deluxe Drum Covers we made. Very smart indeed!
If you require a quote for drum covers for yourself or band, then please email us with your requirements at [email protected]

Here we have something different!!

Last month we were approached by Mr Yannick Boutier from France, he had heard about the wonderful Inverness Capes we made and decided that this was the ideal all weather cape for traveling around in his wonderful 1934 BSA 3-wheeler. I asked Yan for some photos, which he has obliged and I'am sure you agree these are fantastic! What a CAR!!

Yan has written to me and he has said the following......

" The car is a 1934 BSA 3-wheeler, fully restored some 10 years ago. The late previous owner was a member of the BSA Front Wheel Drive Club, and I intend to join as well shortly. The other car is a 37 Morgan F4, which has undergone a full rebuild. Both my friends and my wife and I live in Northern France. We are just 15 miles SW of Arras, right on the edge of the WW1 Somme battlefields. The pictures were taken at my place, which is a 18th/19th century farmhouse. Although primarily a motorcycle enthusiast, I have decided that a three-wheeler would be more suitable when my aches and pains get worse"

"The (now famous) people in the pictures are Yan (myself, the tubby one behind the wheel), Marie, my wife (auburn hair), Bernard (the sulky one with grey hair) and his partner Eve."

Yan, we wish you, Marie, Bernard the sulky one and Eve some great days out with your great cars!

Remember, always take your Inverness Capes with you wherever you go, as you never know when the weather will turn!!

If anyone else out there has some great/different uses and stories to tell for the Inverness/Bandspec Cape, then please get in touch with us and let us have some photos!!

Please share and let everyone know!!
