A beautiful sunny day in the workroom & my fitting room has been buzzing with lovely customers 😃

Summer fashion is making its way in, and alterations are underway to get everything ready for the sunshine and upcoming holidays

Prom season is here, and the sparkle has begun! 💃🏼

On the table today there’s been, curtains to shorten clothes to alter and a couple of zips replaced 🥰

I decided to do a little project for myself this evening & re covered my bedside lampshades with some fabric remnants

Pretty happy with how they’ve turned out 🥰

Prom season is on the way, and a brilliant community initiative is coming together at Skelmanthorpe community centre this March...

On Saturday 7 March, the centre is hosting a Pop-Up Prom Shop to help make prom more accessible for local young people aged 16–18. Alongside dresses, there’s a real need right now for suits and non-dress prom outfits - and this is where the HD8 community can really help.

If you have a suit, blazer, shirt, trousers or smart prom-appropriate outfit that’s clean, in good condition and no longer needed, donating it could make a genuine difference. These pieces help ensure everyone can walk into prom feeling confident, comfortable and themselves.

HD8 Life is helping to spread the word, but Skelmanthorpe Community Centre is leading on the event and all donations. If you’re able to help, or want to ask any questions about donating, please contact the centre directly at [email protected].

Every item stays local, supporting young people in our community. Just think, that suit hiding at the back of your wardrobe could become someone’s “I actually feel great” moment 🖤

Goodness I can’t believe we are well into February already!

My sewing room is currently full to the brim & the majority of my evenings in December are going to look a lot like this ⬆️

So my books are now closed for any new jobs for this year, I am taking work on ready to start in January, so if you want to get organised & booked in just give me a shout
