In 2006, she founded her label 'Knit and Destroy,' creating pieces that blur the lines between product and art, challenging cultural preconceptions by offering an alternative representation of knitting.

Hi fellow Wool Crafters

In a post-Christmas haze I had cause to muse on dreams of furthering my ambition of doing a formal crafting course. As I browsed options I came across a Bursary scheme to fund a place on a City & Guilds course in crochet, which under ordinary circumstances would be way out of my financial reach, so I thought it could be worth a punt.

Well amazingly I have been shortlisted (!) and now need to collect votes alongside other candidates. So if you’re up for it here goes….it’s very simple to vote….just click the link…..find me…. I’m listed under my ‘grown-up’ name Gillian Burton and vote (no personal details required)

We have our finalists of the Joan Harrison Creative Bursary. Now it's time to vote for your bursary winner. Get voting today!
