The greatest love is not reserved for one day of the year

When you love something so intensely, you celebrate them every day.
Sometimes with simple things, like a cup of tea.
When you love something truly, you make a daily commitment to it, no fancy gestures or special cards, just with respect.
And if life takes you apart, you know is only a temporary separation, because you always come back to each other

Happy day of love, happy year of love, happy life of love❤️❤️❤️❤️

It’s just another night

Before I read about the calendars changed at some point in history, I knew in my body that is not natural to start all these goals and resolutions in the middle of the quietest period in nature.

This isnt time to start anything. I rather reflect in front of the fire, do my yoga and go to bed early.

Hibernating and dreaming of spring, with homemade pizzas. ( although Im doing a cleanse of dairy to support my respiratory system further)

If you celebrate new year today, well Happy 2025. For the rest, I see you all in March. That’s the beginning of the Year

When you wake up inside a postcard
But you know the reality is not so glamourous. (Missed work and/or having to walk a mile for stu to access a vehicle plus clearing vital áreas outside)

I never loved or hated something in the same measure

Be safe everyone and dont forget your scarf

An ode to summer and days spent on the seaside, these beautiful embroidered seagulls were a request from a lady attending a concert. She dyed the dress and I made the patches.

Just another example of what can be done to have a unique dress or outfit that nobody else will have.

She left a lovely review in my Etsy shop, where you can find more examples of my work.

You only take knowledge from this life.

You don’t take your body or any material possessions.
Titles and various social validation measures probably won’t matter once you are out of this life.
How many times I posted on social media most likely won’t count.😎
Yet what remains forever imprinted in one’s soul is the learning and experiences you had. (some call that Akashic Record)

Based on that, this summer was all about beautiful experiences, creating and learning.

Creating a beautiful set of beaded seagulls for a lady, painting two signs for a neighbour ( he told me how meaningful for his childhood, the place where one of them was placed 🖌️🧵

Having hilarious, deep conversations and visiting beautiful places with my nieces and nephew and spending great time with my two sisters and partners. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒
I came back in love with how Switzerland 🇨🇭has managed to protect things like local organic agriculture and how in every street you find trees laden with fruit or medicinal herbs grown in biodiversity patches. 🐝
And the buildings, oh my! How clever were the civilisations before us.🏠

The rest of the time, I have been outside in my garden, learning the way to grow vegetables and herbs, some more successful than others due to our toxic and destroyed environmental conditions. Nonetheless, it’s fascinating to see how much still grows without supervision. Often those called weeds are the most potent superfoods and medicines. 👨‍🌾🪴
I made jam with donated berries from my neighbour too!! 🍒🍒🍒

Now September is just around the corner, we will see what that brings.

Meanwhile, if you read all the way to this point, thanks and sending love ❤️

I am currently working on something to be gifted to two very special people in my life.

Made what love and a wish for magic and whimsy to always live in their hearts.

I can turn plain clothes that you own into fun, magical, extraordinary pieces.

This isn’t AI. It’s just a unicorn 🦄

Did you know that there are people using AI to create paintings and art compositions?

Why artificial intelligence instead of human mind??🤯

Yes, I have a computer and a phone that is almost glued to me.

Yes, when I design, I use the computer to assist me in playing around with compositions and I’ve used before pre made shapes like unicorns and some flowers, just to make sure they represent the shape accurately.

But most of the time, I end up drawing by hand. Using tracing paper which is really greaseproof paper used for baking.

✏️I love the feeling of the pencil, doing big gestures and curves, until I get the idea out.

I might get myself a tablet to attach to the laptop and draw, so I can also change the colours.

But to actually give the reigns of my creativity to a robot???

Never.
I simply refuse to live in a world like that.💪

If this resonates with you and you need help embellishing your clothes to make them look more YOU, or if you simply want to have a chat about your dislike of AI...

Message me! I am here to help.

A little wall art piece for my home, made by reusing scraps of amazing tweed. An ode to my beloved poppies, who didn’t want to go away from our front door area and once I let them grow they make my life so happy.

The design of the picture is mine, adapted from flowers I found online. All hand embroidered and with beads over, also applied by hand.

The frames are quite rustic as well and they will hang proudly on my kitchen, to remind me of the summer days where all the flowers are in bloom.

What do you think?

Being me, but in the land where I live.

Tweed has always had a special place in my heart.
In these project, I decided to make something for my home. Something that was ME but also an ode to the land where I live. A small tribute to Scotland, its countryside and of course tweed fabric.

This one of the two pieces.
You can see the progress in the previous posts.

I made two pieces of wall art for my home in Scotland, made out of amazing Scottish wool tweed fabric and inspired by local wildlife.
But with my touch and my taste.
This is the second of the two creations.
I usually adapt the design to the proportions of the base, I try doing it by computer but end up using pencil and paper.

Next post is the big reveal

Wildly in love with wool

I am fascinated by the story of fabrics that are typical of each country. What drives humans to patiently treat fibres and weave them together, to create a piece cloth that can be draped around the body to keep it warm?
Of course, fabrics they are not just for warmth. The many colours and prints also talk about culture, about the need to express your personality and in the case of tweed to tell others what clan you belong to also.

For this project I pieced together many scraps that someone sold me. I guess I could say that since I don’t belong to a clan or a particular country, my soul is a “patchwork of cultures?”.

I embroidered over by hand and later put beads to create the texture. I Love it! Looks natural and wild but with a small touch of shine. That could describe me also!
