New dress alert!! I'd been meaning to make another Emerson Dress since the pattern was released in the spring. I finally found the time to knock this up over a few sewing sessions I cobbled together last week.

This time I went with the maxi length skirt and the longer, elbow length puff sleeves. The fabric is a gorgeous light cotton poplin in a beautiful Magnolia design that I got last year when I was at work. It's positively dangerous working at 🤣

There is an elasticated panel at the back of the dress, which makes it very comfortable to wear and easy to get on and off.

today and I'm showing you my favourite type of pressing cloth.

These cloths help protect your fabric from the heat of the iron when pressing, whilst still allowing the press to take. Best of all you can see through them so you can press in the right spots; you can steam through them; and if they get a bit sticky and grimy you can put them in the washing machine to clean. Amazing!

They are the Iron On pressing clothes, and you get 2 in a pack. They last for ages, and they're my recommendation for sure.

is back and suddenly we're on day 28. Sorry I missed a couple of days, it's been a bit of a week and my poor darling husband ended up in hospital with Pneumonia, so clearly that's been our priority for a few days. Thankfully he's just got home where he belongs, and we can keep looking after him here.

For repeated shuttle runs to and from the hospital today in the heat, I am wearing a in maxi length. The fabric is a cotton/poly jersey from .fabrics.galore on FB and it's one of my favourite dresses. I love the colour, it just feels like sunshine.
