It was a joy to have Macey, Niall and Mabel in the studio for a belt making workshop, visiting all the way from the West Country as part of their Scottish tour.

Both Macey and Niall did an amazing job creating beautiful leather belts to take home 🖤

It was such a pleasure to teach the recent Leather Tote Bag Workshop.

I’ve had some lovely testimonials come in that I’d love to share, starting with Jenni. She’d never worked with leather before but was an absolute natural and threw herself into every part of the process.

It was wonderful to watch her confidence grow as her bag started to take shape. I just love what she created🖤

Had Shaun in the studio today photographing the making of the Carrick Bag for the sewing pattern, and just before leaving he grabbed this quick shot. No styling, no setup,just the bag sitting on the table between the chaos of making.

Honestly, I love it and the sewing pattern photos themselves are looking incredible and I’m so excited to finally see this project coming together properly after such a long time developing, testing, redrafting, and refining.

Thank you Shaun for capturing it all so beautifully.

I’m going to start sharing more moments from the workshops here.

Seeing people not only make something they’re proud of, but also spend real time together, learning something new… it gives me the biggest feel good.

There’s something special about working with your hands and stepping away from the day to day for a few hours.

I thought I’d share a bit more of that with you.
