Tired and fed up of suffering from headaches ?
It’s important to understand the type of headaches you suffer from to help combat the causes and hopefully prevent or reduce your symptoms.
Tension headaches are the most common type, they present typically: as a dull, aching pain or pressure around the forehead, temples, or the back of the head and neck.
Triggers include: Stress, anxiety, poor posture, eye strain, fatigue, or lack of sleep.
Sinus headaches are caused by inflammation or infection in the sinuses—air-filled cavities in the skull located behind the forehead, cheeks, and eyes. Which typically present as pressure or pain around these areas.
Triggers include: sinusitis (from congestion or infection) and allergies/irritants.
A migraine causes intense, often debilitating headaches, typically accompanied by other symptoms like: nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and sometimes visual disturbances.
Triggers include: hormone changes, certain foods, stress, lack of sleep and overstimulation.
A cluster headache is a rare but extremely painful type of headache that occurs in cyclical patterns or "clusters." It’s often considered one of the most painful types of headache. It typically presents as severe burning or pain behind the eye.
Unfortunately the exact cause of cluster headaches isn’t known so it’s generally recommended to monitor your clister paterns to identify triggers.
