IN OUR TOWN TODAY 🎉🎉🎉🎉
K-Town Shopper Weekend! We can't wait to throw open the doors of our Alternative Department Store and take you on a journey around our urban Arts Trail on the 26th and 27th of March.
Here's the full rundown of what's happening over the weekend.
In our Alternative Department Store (Old Sunwin House Building, Hanover St) expect:
• A market packed with independent retailers and artisans including M&J Framing, Franklin handbags, Blossoms, Bronte Upholstery, The Kindred Bizzare, Fletchers Art & Print, Just 4 Paws Ltd, Hairavanti and more!
• Juicing demos from Pennine Plus and Pennine Kitchen Designs.
• A wood workshop with The Lion's Den Shed sponsored by Pickard Hardware and with celebrity guest, Kate from Jay's Yorkshire Workshop.
• A Toylab workshop turning old unwanted toys into mad new creations (Limited tickets for the morning workshop available here: www.eventbrite.com/e/k-town-shopper-toylab-workshop-morning-tickets-277439407737)
• All local street food and drink from Goose Eye Brewery, The Peacock Bar and Palomino Pizza.
• The Bradford Police Museum joining us to showcase a retro police motorbike that you can take photographs with.
• Nostalgic photo exhibition and cinema showing of past images of Keighley.
• The history of the Victoria building presented by The Victoria Keighley.
• A 8ft kebab inviting you to vote for the best local late night snack!
• Flashmobs, stiltwalkers, facepainters, nostalgic decor galore and more!
There will also be an arts trail around the main streets of Keighley where you will find:
• A life-size paper doll dress up station.
• A tribute to Dalton Mills.
• Streets lined with large scale and bold fabric banners.
• A popup of nostalgic post boxes celebrating Keighley's market.
• A search for a “lost dog” which will take you on a digital journey through Keighley’s musical history along the way.
• An interactive projection featuring all your favourite childhood toys.
• A paste up celebrating Keighley's top shopping destinations in the early 2000's.
• The return of Irene Lofthouse’s extremely popular “Royal Arcadians tour”.
•Graffiti demos at the ramp on Hanover Street.

And last but not least, on the back of the newspaper you'll also find our sticker challenge. From Friday 25th March – Monday 11th of April, you'll be able to pick up stickers from participating business for your chance to win prizes including a free family ticket for the The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
