I started The Pretty Pony Club because I wanted to capture the magic of what it's like growing up with ponies.

There are so many skills and disciplines it helps develop but beyond this, it creates memories to treasure for the rest of your life as a child, but also as a parent witnessing it.

Some of the photos in this carousel are my older children (I've got a 14 year old, 12 year old and a 1 year old 😅) and my big ones spent everyday in the yard with me- just like so many of you who will be reading this- and those memories of the things we got up to are so much of what I think about when I look back. They feel nearly grown up now and I'm so thankful for those times we had playing with the ponies, riding ba****ck, going to shows, going to the beach, (maybe a bit too soon to talk about the beach 😅😂) and just being in the yard teaching them how to care for and love horses.

I've now got a one year old who rides everything vaguely rideable- the back of the sofa, the dog, the backs of benches 🥴 and I can't wait to make new pony memories with her (her first proper riding lesson is booked for her 2nd birthday next week!).

I want The Pretty Pony Club to capture a bit of that magic and help celebrate it. It's not about being perfect, or never making a mistake, it's about showing up, doing your best and loving your own unique pony journey. 🤍

There are quite a few new faces here after Winnie’s rather eventful trip to the beach… 🙈🤍

So I thought I’d say hello and tell you a little bit about us.

The Pretty Pony Club was created from a lifelong love of horses and everything I believe growing up around them gives us.

Confidence. Responsibility. Resilience. Friendship. And some of the best memories of our lives.

That’s why you’ll see us talk about Pretty is Showing Up.

Because to us, pretty isn’t about how you look.

It’s having a go. Getting back on. Supporting your friends. Loving your pony on the difficult days as much as the brilliant ones.

And creating clothes for that childhood is what The Pretty Pony Club is all about.

So if you’re new here, hello 🤍 We’re very happy you’ve found us.

The day Winnie became “Sea Biscuit” 🤍🌊

What should have been her first beach ride became a 40-minute rescue at sea. Sound on for the full, unbelievable story.

There really aren’t enough words to thank Pitar and Nathan for what they did. Their courage meant Winnie came home safely—and that my daughter still has the young horse she loves so much.

Thank you, too, to every person on Camber Sands who helped, called the emergency services or kept watch, and to the lifeboat crews, fire crews and Coastguard teams who responded.

Pitar later told me he went into the sea because his two-year-old son loves horses. I hope that little boy grows up knowing that his dad’s bravery helped another child keep her horse. 🤍

Winnie is safely home, completely well and now affectionately known online as Sea Biscuit. Even my Ariat boots survived! 😂

⚠️ Entering open water was incredibly dangerous. Please never attempt a rescue yourself. In a coastal emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
