SOLD: Russian Dress

One of the very talented skaters at our rink has chosen the most beautiful piece of Russian music. Warms my heart everytime I hear it. Here is a theatrical dress that goes with it. Could not quite decide whether to go for Russian folk (with flowers) or Russian orthodox (with gold) so i married the two. Technically, we have a high pant (in turquois) followed by a double layerd skirt where the inside layer (in pink with turquoise trim) is stoned for most bling on ice. Since I am slightly mad, i also added hand painted appliqués on the underskirt for a special impact in spins. Looks absolutely spectacular in movement!

I loved the brief: girl’s ice skating costume to go with a pirate themed music. Must contain red.

Since black is not my favourite and black/red/white would have been too predictable, we went for teal as accent colour. And aubergine because it goes with red and gold. Plus lots of bling in gold, crystal, crystal AB, black diamond ab and jet AB. Here it comes!

Sometimes one fancies something unfussy and slimline. Here is a dress that comes from one such moment: my take on Vera Wang. Elegant cut with just enough stones to make it stand out. The “wow“ factor comes from the colour: neon red with aubergine airbrush assures a lasting impression. The double layered soft skirt will flatten the broadest of hips.

My piece de resistance, replica dress of the current European champion. The most complex and most decorated dress I have created thus far. White matt lycra, airbrushed with black and turquoise and stoned with 3500+ rhinestones including clear crystal in 3 sizes (16, 20 and 30) , peacock blue and black diamond with aquamaribe swarwski cristals round the neckline. On ice, it looks like liquid silver. Exquisite conesoir item.

This dress is designed around the central motif: gold sequin baroque appliqué. Its visual impact is enhanced by dark blue airbrushed background, which was done by hand on a turquoise matt lycra. The brief was this: small, black, with fringe, cabaret style and sexy. In this design, I tested my stoning skills with a strong geometric pattern. Created using 2500+ stones including crystal AB (ss16&20), peacock (16&20) and jet AB (16&20). Lots of umpf!
