I was 17 years old when I stepped into my first labour room.
A teenager standing beside a woman bringing life into the world.
From that moment I knew something very clearly: women are extraordinary.
For over a decade I stood beside women as a midwife witnessing strength, fear, birth, loss, fertility struggles and the courage it takes to try again.
But the work didn’t stop at the hospital doors.
It continued on gym floors, in living rooms, over coffee tables with tears and laughter and through late-night phone calls when women needed someone who understood.
Then came the BabySZN studio, where women came to train their bodies and reconnect with their power.
Today the work looks different again.
Some days are spent on calls with women across the world, often navigating systems - especially in the US - that leave them unsupported and disconnected from their bodies.
Sometimes those calls happen late at night with a candle lit beside my laptop.
Teaching.
Education.
Training women to understand fertility, strength, pregnancy, birth and recovery.
But the other half of the work has become a new fight entirely.
Because the deeper I went into women’s health, the clearer something else became:
Women are living, training and sweating in plastic.
Synthetic fabrics shedding microplastics on hormonally sensitive skin.
So now we’re also building endocrine-safe activewear with sustainable materials designed for women’s bodies and the world their children will inherit.
Because once you’ve stood beside thousands of women in the most important moments of their lives…
you cannot look away from what they deserve.
BabySZN was built from every woman who trusted me with her story.
Bet on women. Every time.
Happy International Women’s Day 🩷
