Get some marmalade next time you are at the shops ~ because Paddington is coming.

I have an original 1972 Gabrielle Designs bear - he is a little careworn - but give him a break he is 47 years old.

I've been working on a pattern for him - the poor guy is fed up of constantly taking his clothes off for me ~ so for those that can't make it to The Sewing Lab ~ we have 2 ways that you can have your own friend from Peru :
1. Pattern & step by step illustrated manual ~ circa 30 pages ~ to take you through making him and his clothes
2. Full kit ~ as above and includes the fur and felt for his clothes, his cute little red wellies, toggles, nose and his amber eyes.
Let me know if you are interested - shipping in August.

Oh ~ and both come with a replica of the original luggage tag - just working on the fonts so it is as close to mine as possible ~ when made he stands very proudly at 18".

BU**ER - while trying to do some digital admin last night - ready for post-covid relaunch and our new website - I inadvertently changed from The Sewing Lab to me - you can only change your name every 60 days - and guess what - there is no customer service - just 'help' pages - which are clearly mislabelled.

We are still The Sewing Lab - but there some very nice people out there, who when I give them my FB password and bank details are going to help me.

Oh Pants – I’m Having my Period !!
Did that get your Attention ??

For the majority of women having a monthly period isn’t a problem – because they can buy disposable sanitary ware.
Sadly, UNICEF estimates that more than 10% of girls who enter puberty in developing countries drop out of school because they have started to menstruate.
We want to help these girls – we want to give them their dignity back and allow them to continue their education by not just giving them pants but by giving them reusable, washable sanitary ware.
Help us to make something that will enable girls to continue their education – one day of your time could change a girl’s life.
On Sunday 11th October we will be helping these girls by making reusable, washable sanitary ware.
You don’t even need to know how to sew – we will help you. All you need is the best intentions to help girls that are becoming women.
