Hello all. First, Inga has hardly left my side since January. Her on ‘my’ chair at my desk. Taken from my bed.

So, until last Sunday (8 days ago) I was progressing slowly but surely. Then I had another fall, probably breaking a rib and tearing muscles. Not quite back to the beginning, but setting me a long way back. It is all healing, but mighty slowly.

The good thing is that I can knit again. So the hours spent in bed and chair are OK. I listen to the World Service - ‘the world’s radio service from the BBC’ - so I am well up with current affairs (I wish I wasn’t), and I even know the football dramas going on!

The most frustrating thing is that I am still nowhere near being able to work on the book. Once I can string a sentence together…

Inga is STILL having to beat the bounds. The weather should change tomorrow. She hasn't been out of the house and grounds for 5 days - by far the longest ever. She has been very good.

On a day like this Inga calls it a pleasure to secure the bounds.
