This is Lefty, working on some painting in my studio. She's been doing lots of this lately, preparing for Art& in York at the end of October. It's all rather exciting!
Righty has been having a rest recently, due to a really stupid injury caused by - don't laugh - overwork during frantic, 12 hour long embroidery sessions to finish my wedding outfit in time for my actual wedding, exacerbated by furious papier mâché-ing of a gigantic cardboard moon! I said don't laugh!
Unfortunately, Righty is responsible for block-making, printing, cutting, pinning and pretty much everything else involved in making my clothes for Little Lost Soul, and when attempting to do any of these things now, there's a lot of wrist clunks and crunches and just a small amount of blinding agony, with the odd numb finger thrown in for sh*ts and giggles.... Put simply, my right hand is properly buggered. My Etsy shop is still open, but is currently only stocked with things that I have made and ready to post out. All other Little Lost Soul production is on hold for the foreseeable.
That all sounds pretty crap, but this is not a sympathy post! This is just an update to let you know wagwan over here in my studio and that Lefty is very, very happy to have lots of time to paint again!!
