Kuddos to those event organisers who somehow vet the traders to avoid duplication, but b*tch please!

I don't offer personalised products at my markets (there's only a very small number of my own desings that you can personalise on my website), because neither I have the time, nor the crayons to keep going back and forth with certain individuals.

Besides, Reyt Designs was never meant to be a business offering bespoke products.
It was also never meant to rip anyone else off.
Yes, this is what coping branded products and selling without a licence is.

Just Google how much Disney licences are and what process you have to go through to obtain one and then tell me if Brenda at the stall at your Sunday Market has what it takes to sell her products legally. Just saying...

So as an event organiser, don't be a tw@ and don't compare people who design their own products to some low level copy cats!

If I need to explain this to you, you shouldn't be allowed to trade at outdoor events!

For those of you who are not traders...

A couple of years ago, I had my 42kg gazebo, with 12kg iron weight on each leg, 2 stakes in each weight and double ratchet straps on each side with 40cm spiral stakes taking off in a wind gust!

I was lucky enough to have some strong customers and my mate next to me. We managed to keep it down. But one of the weights FLEW across my gazebo and hit my table!!!

So if you think your empty sand bags, 15cm stakes, or those mini discs will stop your garden (!) gazebo from flying across the field, then you should think twice about trading outdoors and putting everyone at risk!

UK weather is not to be f*cked with!

Like every other small business, I've had some good markets and I've had some bad ones.

But I still try to find a positive in each day, however humbling. That includes even the mean interactions with public.

Sometimes it's hard to remember that some people aren't as perfect as me.

Sometimes it's hard to remember that it's not my responsibility to teach them manners and market etiquette.

Sometimes it's just obvious that people read too much into social media content and don't get your banter. That just proves my first point 🤭
