Technically, they’re not tennis shoes.

But every summer, we find ourselves wearing them to the tennis anyway.

Perhaps it’s the clean lines.
Perhaps it’s the timeless styling.
Perhaps it’s because they look just as good with a summer dress as they do with tailored trousers.

Whatever the reason, tennis season and Marté seem to go hand in hand.

The Marte Wedge Trainer is produced in Europe because proximity, quality and accountability matter to us.

That means knowing who makes the product, how it’s made, and being able to stand behind every decision involved in creating it.

We’re not interested in vague sustainability claims or borrowed language about transparency. If we say something about how we manufacture, it’s because we can evidence it.

And the wing detail…..? Well — that’s there because it’s beautiful. 💛

I don’t usually step out from behind the curtain as it’s really not my comfort zone , but yesterday felt like a
real pinch-me moment, so here goes…..

I’m incredibly proud to be a female founder running a small business here in the UK, and being able to contribute - even in a small way - to the amazing
work of as a volunteer mentor is something I genuinely
treasure.

To play any part in helping young people recognise their talents, build
confidence and realise their ambitions through the incredible programmes The King’s Trust delivers is a true privilege.

So being invited to the 50th birthday celebrations was completely surreal- and seeing King Charles in person chatting about the amazing mosaic programme the Kings Trust deliver in schools was a moment I will never forget!!!

A huge thank you to The King’s Trust for such a special invitation. It was
wonderful to spend time with fellow mentors, the brilliant King’s Trust
team and of course enjoy a little game of “spot my heroes bingo” along the
way.

A truly unforgettable day.

(Although after several hours in pointy heels, I was very grateful to be reunited with my Marté’s!!!!)

At Marté, we love Christmas — but we don’t do sales or shout the loudest at a time when life should slow down.

This season is for resting, and taking a moment to breathe.

We’re stepping back, spending time with those we love, and returning in the New Year.

Thank you for walking with us this year.
