It was my birthday yesterday 🥳 and one of my presents from my fiancé was a natural dyeing workshop in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales ❤️ the weather was stunning and I spent the entire day faffing with wool. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my birthday.

A true Viking relic 🇳🇴🤓 this tablet woven band is based on the Oseberg 12L1. A band just like this one was discovered in 1904 during the excavation of a massive, remarkably preserved Viking ship burial at the Oseberg farm near Tønsberg, Norway. The ship burial was dated to 834AD and was packed with an abundance of textiles.

My band however is bobbly and pretty amateur, although approx 1.3m long. Now what should I do with it?! 🤔
