On the morning of Friday 23 October, Parcelforce delivered some parcels of ours to the wrong London address because of a labelling error. They're addressed to Reena Dharamshi, and the first line of the address is a Leeds address.

The delivery is tracked, and we've already reported the error to Royal Mail and the courier.

Navratri 🙏🏼♥️

There is a particular kind of joy that only Navratri brings: homes filled with the scent of flowers and incense, lamps glowing late into the night, and hearts that feel just a little closer to Her with each passing day.

We danced Garba with friends who have become family, clapping and twirling to Gujarati beats until our feet ached and our hearts overflowed. A dear friend opened her home to us for Golu, step after step of little gods, goddesses and stories, each one placed with such love and devotion. Sitting beside it felt like being wrapped in tradition and warmth all at once.

And then came Maa Durga. We bowed before her in the quiet glow of the Leeds Puja and a friend’s home. On Bijoya, with sindoor on our cheeks and full hearts, we whispered aschhe bochor abar hobe. Come back to us again next year, Maa. 🙏🏻

In every form, She shows us something we need. Her patience reminds us to be gentle. Her strength reminds us we are stronger than we think. And her victory reminds us all that light always finds its way through, and good will always rise above evil.

To the friends who opened their homes and hearts, and to my Get Seasoned family who wished us, blessed us and shared beautiful captures with us these past days, thank you. You made this season so special. ✨

Aubergine Nights 💜
Deep as dusk, bright with stitch.

Woven in Tussar of a deep purple that leans quietly into aubergine, this saree carries the graceful, textured hand the silk is so loved for, its natural slubs catching the light with every fold. Across the body, little floral buttis are scattered like stars on a darkening sky.

Then the eye travels to the edges. A dainty gold selvedge frames the drape, while the borders burst into pops of colour, worked in fusion embroidery stitches that dance along the hem.

But it is the pallu that takes the limelight. Fusion embroidery spreads across it in layer upon layer of blossoms, vines, crosses and zigzags, glinting with tiny sequins and flowing into a finely striped end. A matching blouse piece, edged in the same embroidery, completes the story.

Pure Bishnupur Katan Silk Revival Baluchari | Red Maroon & Magenta

Some sarees whisper. This one is a celebration.

Baluchari was born in 18th-century Baluchar under the Nawabs of Murshidabad and nearly lost to time. The weavers of Bishnupur kept it alive. This Revival Baluchari carries that legacy forward in the most auspicious shade of all.

The body is a rich red maroon, the colour of sindoor and celebration. Emerald buttis are scattered across it like leaves from a temple garden. Along the borders, ivory weaving flows in graceful vines, lit with magenta pink Meenakari blossoms that glow like rose petals scattered for a festival. Each border is woven in the traditional golani technique, Bengal’s answer to Banaras’s Kadhua.

The Pallu is the spotlight. Grand paisleys in turquoise, emerald, marigold gold and ivory unfurl across it, framed by rows of emerald blossoms and an ornate ivory band with turquoise florals. It brings the designs and colours of yesteryear back to life in all their regal splendour.

Katan silk gives it a lustrous drape with a deep, jewel-like glow.

Softest Beige Chiffon Tissue Banarasi | Kadhua Weave

In the old lanes of Banaras, where the moon rises pale over the far sandbanks and the river grows still after the last boats have gone, some sarees are made to be remembered.

This is one of them.

The softest beige, woven from chiffon interlaced with tissue thread, so the fabric shimmers like moonlight on still water. Soft, sheer, with an ethereal sheen that moves as you move.

It is a true Kadhua weave, the slowest and most devoted of Banarasi techniques. Every motif is worked by hand, thread by thread, into the body of the fabric itself. Nothing is cut away and nothing floats loose behind. It is simply the weaver’s patience, made visible.

Little buttis drift across the body in alternating silver and antique gold zari. Floral creepers trail along the silver border, kissed with gentle meenakari for the softest pop of colour.

The pallu tells the story in full. Paisleys in the true Banarasi tradition bloom across its centre, alternating once again in silver and antique gold zari, with fine meenakari details in red and green glinting within. Hand-crafted tassels finish the edge, a last quiet touch of the loom.

Soft as moonlight on the sandbanks. Airy. Timeless.
