Yesterday we had another great session at our ‘Making Information Accessible’ training, thank you to everyone who came.

If you are interested in making your own easy read, or just want to know some tips and tricks on how to make your information accessible to a wider audience, then this course may be for you!

We cover topics from wording and language choices, images and rules around design, and advice on how to quality check your work. We will also have one of our Accessible Information illustrators available in the session to answer any questions you have.

“Today has been an amazing day because I’ve just been to representing AND. But I feel very sad too as it will be my last festival and stall with the project. 🙁

I will be leaving AND Clothes in a few weeks and wanted to share what it’s been like working with this amazing team.

I have been an artist for over 15 years and have never worked with such a supportive, inspiring bunch of people. I will miss all the fun, the ideas, humour, knowledge and the great company of these 8 talented budding entrepreneurs. I have been blown away by the dedication and passion they bring each week. They’ve certainly kept me on my toes the last two years with their wealth of ideas and enthusiasm!

It has been a true privilege to get this fledgling project off the ground, and a real honour to work with this incredible team.

Please be assured that AND will continue. We are currently planning to expand the offer so that more people can join and be part of this exciting business.

Thank you to all our customers and supporters of the project so far. Without you buying from us our T-shirts and clothes would just be sat in a drawer. But to know they are being loved, seen and worn has brought a huge amount of , and to the artists who designed them. AND it helps spread our important social message

AND Clothes

AND Clothes is a unique range of casualwear designed by adults with learning disabilities. Each garment features a hand drawn or painted design that has been printed on the front.

AND was founded in 2019 by Leep1, a CIC who supports adults with learning disabilities to speak up for themselves in order to improve their own lives and the lives of others in their community. We provide a safe and inclusive platform to share ideas and views and improve social, educational and health skills.

Only 6% of the learning disabled adult population are in any type of employment and our mission is to change that. We support and enable adults with learning disabilities into meaningful employment and break stigma by celebrating abilities and acheivement.
