With the social media response to this years weekend of culture we expect it to be an extremely busy weekend the messages both on here and TikTok has been unbelievable and it would take hours to reply to them all so please just remember the format.

Hotel recommendations we don’t get involved in because everyone has a personal budget and expectation for hotels all we would say is check reviews and make sure it fits your needs.

Both Leeds and Blackpool stand by the no reserved seating policy as we believe everyone’s £5 is the same so if your at the door and a tables empty it’s yours before it’s someone’s that wants to turn up hours later. If anything the only exception will be the entertainment but that’s understandable.

Next question: how would like to see a function in Scotland ran by us?? We get ask a lot about taking a function to Scotland and we have looked at a possible venue no date as yet looking possibly March next year for this one but would people to interested??

Blackpool & Leeds will again be running the annual Culture weekend in September. We will do an official announcement on this in the coming weeks. At this time our focus is on our chairman and his family on the passing of his wife. Flyers and all information will be posted after the funeral. Apologies for all the unanswered inbox messages regarding this event

Today one of our members went along to meet a couple of the volunteers from 5 Towns Veterans Hub and it’s so nice to hear how much they do in the community to assist our veterans. We at Leeds Somme will go away and think about how we and our followers can help out as they run breakfast clubs and other things so watch out for updates
