What a super day creating a Community Garland as part of Leek’s Advent Celebrations. Over 25 men, women and children worked with yarn to help us hang decorations made mostly from recycled and reclaimed materials and it now hangs proudly along side the gorgeous swag created by Tagg Floral. Thanks to The Foxlowe for hosting us, Outside Arts for their support and Lorna Stoddart for organising the events. Pop into the Goxlowe to have a look at our handy work!

Many Strands Textile Group is DELIGHTED to receive a Creative Community Commission grant from OUTSIDE Arts. Thank you so much for helping us mount our pop up exhibition at The Foxlowe in November,

We knit, we sew, we crochet, we celebrate textile workers from the history of Leek but most of all we look after each other and enjoy ourselves.

MANY STRANDS TEXTILE GROUP started in 2024. A couple of people who didn’t really know each other, one an expert knitter and the other a would be crocheter, decided to meet up every other Saturday to enjoy their craft and maybe meet other enthusiasts.
