🚐 Vacancy 1: Cover Driver (Zero Hours Contract)
Flexible role covering sickness and holidays
This position is ideal for someone who needs flexibility and can step in when required.

What You’ll Do:
Drive a 3.5-tonne tail lift van
Complete daily delivery and collection routes
Load and unload laundry cages (manual handling involved)
Provide professional and friendly customer service

Pay:
£12.37 per hour
Saturday: overtime agreed enhanced rate
Sunday: overtime agreed enhanced rate

Part-Time Delivery driver (commercial laundry)

Job Type: Part-time Delivery driver (Tuesday, Thursdays)
Pay: £12.37 per hour, with Enhanced Weekend Rates
Pay: £12.37 - £24.02 per hour

We are a family-run commercial laundry business looking for a reliable and physically fit part-time driver to join our team. You’ll be responsible for driving a 3.5-tonne tail lift van, covering deliveries and collections Tuesday and Thursday, Weekend work is available at premium rates.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van with a tail lift.
Complete all assigned delivery and collection routes each day.
Handle cage and handball work (loading and unloading laundry).
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism.

Requirements:
A clean driving license.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
Availability for weekend shifts when required (enhanced rate)
Previous driving experience is an advantage, but full training is provided.

£12.37 per hour, with enhanced pay rates for weekends:

Sort, wash, press bed linen, and fold towels to our high standards

Operate commercial washing machines and dryers efficiently

Assemble, prepare, and pack orders ready for delivery

Work collaboratively to maintain a smooth and timely workflow

Carry out manual tasks including lifting, bending, and moving laundry items

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

On Friday evening, unfortunately our site experienced a fire. We’re incredibly grateful that no one was injured and the machinery that has been impacted is already underway with replacements. As a third-generation, family-run business operating for 48 years, we’re built on resilience - and that remains true today.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenging time. We care deeply about our customers, our employees and the partnerships we’ve built over nearly five decades. This setback is temporary - and our foundation of service, reliability and integrity is as strong as ever. As a founding member of the National Laundry group with 40 laundries, we are utilising this partnership to ensure distruption is kept to a minimum.
