Hi all ❤️

I can't believe it's been 18 months since I last posted! And what an 18 months it's been!

I decided that I needed a break from Katie ella whilst James was still so young (hats off to those of you who work with newborns! It's certainly not easy)

And when I was ready to work again my heart just wasn't in it anymore 😔 I started to explore different avenues that I could take expanding on my love of wildlife. It was then that I applied and successfully got a Trainee Reserves Officer role with Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. 🦊 The notion that I'd be working for an organisation that I admired and loved so much was just mind blowing. I've had an absolutely amazing time with them over the last 7 months and my knowledge not only of wildlife but habitat management has improved greatly.

🌳 It was with their encouragement that I applied for a local Ranger job before finishing the traineeship. And I'm incredibly proud to say that I got the job!! I am now a Ranger for Leicestershire County Council managing 4 different sites in West Leicestershire.

I'm not exactly sure what my plans are for Katie ella just yet... but I know that I have a huge amount of fabric left over so I will be gradually sorting through this and will be listing any stock I have left for sale. (You can still buy my wrapping paper on Etsy)

I've had so many messages asking for leggings and rompers and I'm slowly working through these so thank you for your constant support and love of my items ❣️

🌿° G A R D E N ° B I R D S °🌿

Who's ready for the big birdwatching weekend? ❤️

We've been out and topped up our feeders (and even fed our resident Wood Mouse) but alas I think the wind is too much for them today. Hoping to spot something soon.

I've also bought Amelia some new birdwatching binoculars from so I'm hoping they will arrive today.... although when I told her about them she said she wanted unicorn ones and not the puffin brand I'd bought 🤦🙄

I don't think I've posted on here this year yet, I haven't gone awol- I'm just taking a small break from social media and making items ❤️ everything that I have which is ready made is available on my Etsy site (link in bio) along with all the wrapping paper designs. 🦡

Maybe I can use this quiet time (if James sleeps!!!!!) To finish the garden bird print 🐦

🌿° P I N E ° T R E E ° 🌿

Has everyone got their Christmas trees up yet? We did ours at the weekend... Well Amelia did it... I'm having to resist rearranging all of the decorations and space them out. I'm also sat looking at a couple of rouge nins who seem to be having an adventure on one of the branches 🤔

The last few sizes of our Scots Pine romper and top are online. They are great for subtle festive wear ... Or of your child is like mine, for hiding amongst trees in the wood!

The first batch of Snoods went out yesterday with the last batch going tomorrow.

Wrapping paper can be posted the next (or same day) which also includes the Pine spruce print 🎄

🌿° V U L P E S ° V U L P E S ° 🌿

Sometimes the simplest of prints are the most effective. Mr Fox is the winner so far with the amount of snoods you guys are ordering. 🦊 Have you chosen yours yet?

I've had a few customers message regarding delays in getting their orders- some from last week haven't arrived yet. With this in mind I'll be closing the website earlier than planned to allow for these delays. (Hopefully it won't be as bad as last year 🤞)

Haven't decided an exact date yet it will depend on work load but I'd say if you are planning on ordering then do it soon just incase I shut earlier. (James also plays a massive factor in this! And everyone knows how unpredictable children are!!!) ❤️

Happy Half term if your kids are off this week... Or Happy back to school if like mine we had half term last week.

Everyone said once your children start school the months fly past and it's so true. Were nearly in November already! Either that or I'm so sleep deprived all my days are just blurring into one!

I'm running at a reduced capacity whilst on maternity, mainly focusing on leggings. These are the slouchy baby style- roomy enough for cloth nappies, reversible cuffs incase you want to size up and a stitched elastic waistband meaning you won't get any twists. All seams have been overlooked for durability and stretch.

🌿° H E L L O °🌿

A little Hi post to all my new followers over the past few weeks.

I'm Katie, a fox obsessed, Northern lass living just inside the National Forest, Leicestershire. We have the best of both worlds living in the countryside and spending most holidays "Up north" on the coast. 🦊

Wife to Matt and Mam to Amelia and our new cuddly baby James (that's his name... Baby James...sure I'll still be calling him that when he's at school!)

A huge huge lover of all wildlife... seriously I'm one of those people who can sit and watch ants walking around for hours... it's the simple things. ❤️

I did my Fashion degree in Nottingham and worked in the Fashion industry before setting up Katie ella. I now have a little studio at the bottom of the garden near to our wildlife pond....which was probably more of a distraction in the Summer when the frogs were mating!
