It’s been a hot minute since I last remembered to post here 😅 but I’m back — and just in time for something festive! 🎄

I’ve just updated my Christmas Stocking pattern with a brand new larger size and photo instructions to make it even easier to sew. Perfect for using up those festive fabric scraps or stitching up something special for the whole family ✨

I had so much fun remaking this one — it’s such a lovely, satisfying project to ease back into the holiday sewing spirit ❤️

I put this on my story last week which she deserves a place on the grid! I made this dress for my youngest because she decided she wanted to dress Like a hobbit – mission achieved!

I use the geranium dress by made by Ray which is my go to little girls dress for this cute style. I used the expansion pack for the little puff sleeves which were essential for the tiny hobbit look fabrics are all scraps from previous projects. It’s all the swap table at Crafty camp so this was a fantastic economical make. Now I just have to hope she wears it before she grows it.

What is your longest running work in progress? This was mine 😅😜🫣

I cut out a back in the testing phase and have literally spent the last 4 years slowly putting it together! When I got it out to sew at Crafty Camp, I couldn’t even remember how far along it had gotten. It turned out all I needed was to sew the collar and buttons.

So, here we are, finally done and happy, so happy, with it! I sat down to sew the buttons on this morning and put it on straight away. It’s been a long time coming.

Happy bank holiday!

We’re going to be spending the weekend doing the traditional bank holiday barbecue and DIY projects. My girls are back in school next week so we’ll also be trying on school uniform and hopefully avoiding the bank holiday shops. What are you guys doing this weekend?

It’s Me-Made May!
This year, I’m taking on the challenge in a way that feels fun, achievable, and personal:

I pledge to wear every handmade item in my wardrobe over the course of May, with the exception of formalwear (because I don’t plan to crash a wedding just for the outfit).

That means I’ll be styling 3–5 different handmade pieces each week, and sharing how I actually wear them in real life. Some I reach for constantly, others haven’t had their moment yet. This is their chance!

I’m calling this my Style It Up challenge, because it’s not just about wearing handmade, it’s about finding ways to love and live in what I’ve made.
