Well I had planned to join in with this year and I missed the first day already! In a bit of a black hole here playing nurse and patient as we’re all struck down with tonsillitis.

So here’s to day 2 and
I created Cece & Bear to create beautiful heirloom keepsakes and decor for your home. As the brand has evolved and my own desire to create a more sustainable future for our planet and our children the product range mirrors this. This is in part why I work with fabrics because they are timeless and don’t ever age. Reusable and heirloom is a big part of the range now with celebration bunting and reusable gift sacks alongside childrens decor and lifestyle products. Fabrics, packaging, carbon footprint it comes into a lot of the decisions I make and how I can help customers to make better sustainable choices whilst still appreciating and enjoying beauty, life is for surrounding ourselves with pieces that make us happy, we shouldn’t feel guilt in this.

I’ve just returned from a completely refreshing weekend away, our first child free since becoming parents 3.5 yrs ago and my was it needed. I felt recharged and reset and ready to go again! Until waking at 3.45 am and barely getting sleep after that. It doesn’t last long does it?! 🙈

I’m opening shop today and will keep an eye on how things are going as to when I close again to allow orders to be made and the protos for the new items I’m wanting to add to the range this year.

Aaaannnnddd that’s a wrap!

Last orders done and out. My god that was a lot tougher than I expected. Many a hurdle thrown my way over the last few months and me being always optimistic about what I could achieve it was pretty full on to say the least. Returning to working in the few spare hrs I have each day with a one year old and a toddler in a tough winter of many illnesses was a bigger challenge than I anticipated. But that’s not to say I’m not completely thankful for all the orders put my way and just how busy you made me. Not what I expected at all. Makes me super excited for next year and just what I could achieve. Thinking of all the ways I can help to prepare way in advance and have stock available to purchase or personalise as I think many of you were unfortunately not able to buy.

So here’s to a VERY well earned rest until the New Year. I’ve so many ideas of where to take Cece & Bear, maybe some new directions on the way. Can’t wait to see what you think.

What can I say? I’m blown away by the reaction to the Christmas lines I’ve launched so far. I’m so pleased you love them. I knew this Liberty Christmas would be a popular print and I took a punt on how much fabric I thought I’d need but it’s gone a LOT quicker than I anticipated. If you want to buy it be quick! After this I won’t be able to restock it until November. Just trying to secure it so that I can take pre orders and dispatch end of November so you won’t be disappointed!

At last I’m in a position to launch my Christmas lines, at least some of them. Christmas sacks and stockings will be available to buy from tomorrow.

✨Stockings are velvet with Liberty print cuff and initial lined with linen
✨Velvet sacks with Liberty print sash tie lined with cotton
✨Liberty print sacks with velvet ribbon tie lined with linen

All come in your choice of velvet and print of which there are a LOT of choice, not just typical Christmas look either.

Almost the weekend now. We’re off to the Lake District, looks like it’s going to be a wash out, so I’ll probably be doing more sewing than I thought. I’ll be getting through all the hand embroidered orders this week.

The store is still open for nursery essentials and bunting, but I’ll be reopening the slots for orders in a few weeks for all the other lines and some new specials for Christmas.

All the new lines I’m adding to the range are driven by items I’ve made for my daughter since her arrival. Fitted bed sheets are now going to be available in my most popular prints, many not available to buy elsewhere. From Moses basket to Cotbed size this is a really lovely luxury to offer your baby to rest their sleepy or not so sleepy 😉 heads on. Tana Lawn is the softest cotton and it washes amazingly.
