Where have I been? It’s a long one..
Well, even though my account suggests otherwise, I’m still very much here! I think the last year and a bit has been a pretty big struggle for most.
Personally, with a family bereavement, becoming a parent for the first time, starting a new job, and then dealing with the baby’s undiagnosed allergies/eczema during a pandemic and an underfunded healthcare system has been A LOT!
Social media has not been a priority for me and, unfortunately small businesses rely heavily on this to succeed. I’m tired, very tired and don’t have time to think creatively on how to sell my products, let alone to be proactive in the sewing room. But, I’m not going to beat myself up over it, I’m doing my best and my focus is on my family right now.
When things calm down, I’ll spend more time on my little biz. I am still open though and available for orders 🙂
Also, if one more person says “it’s just eczema” I will lose my s**t. Watching a child cry and scratch until they bleed, knowing you can’t soothe them is not “just” anything 🙃
